What is an entomologist?

An entomologist is a scientist who studies insects. This includes their classification (taxonomy), physiology (physiology), behavior (animal%20behavior), ecology (ecology), and evolution. Entomologists may work in a variety of fields, including agriculture, medicine, forensics, and conservation. They may conduct research, teach, consult, or work in pest control. Some entomologists specialize in particular types of insects, such as butterflies (lepidopterists), bees (apidologists), or ants (myrmecologists).
